The smooth surface of these grips is lightly sanded, to give them a more antiqued, aged finish, where the color stays darker and deeper in the checkering.

Ergonomic checkering provides active grip surface on approximately half of the grips, especially up high. The lower backs of the grips are smooth to rest more comfortable against skin or clothing.
